YEREVEN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. On September 18, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Armenia Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information Department of the Republic of Armenia NA Staff, welcoming the guest the NA President highlighted the further development of the bilateral relations and deepening of the inter-parliamentary relations of the two countries and the development of the trade-economic cooperation. According to the head of the parliament, there is big potential of development of cooperation between Armenia and Kuwait in the political, economic, cultural and other spheres.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception to the NA President Galust Sahakyan, Bassam Muhhamad Alqabandi conveyed him the congratulatory message and best wishes of the Speaker of the Kuwait National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim on the occasion of Republic of Armenia Independence Day. The Ambassador also highlighted the deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation, which, according to him, will essentially promote the activation of bilateral ties in all directions.

In the course of the meeting the sides also touched upon the process of the Constitutional reforms, the regional problems and other issues of bilateral interest.
