Delegation of UNICEF Office in Armenia visits Republic of Armenia Police
YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Head of the 3rd Department of the General Department of Criminal Intelligence of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Colonel Nelli Duryan received the delegation of the United Nations Children's Fund Office in Armenia led by consultant Dan O’Dale on September 16.
As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Public Relations and Information of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, officers from the Headquarters and Information Centre of the of the Republic of Armenia Police were present at the meeting.
Greeting the guests, Mrs Duryan highly valued the well-established cooperation between the Armenian Police and the United Nations Children's Fund Office in Armenia and expressed hope that the partnership will continue developing and strengthening.
The activities of the of the Republic of Armenia Police aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency, raising the legal awareness of juveniles and protecting their rights were presented to the guests during the meeting. The process of conducting statistical studies was also discussed.
Mr. Dan O’Dale expressed his appreciation for the warm reception extended to them and presented the international Crime Recording Standards applied in case of offences committed by minors. Those standards are likely to increase the efficiency of Statistical Analyses.
The parties reached an agreement to continue working together to achieve the best results through developing the existing active cooperation.
