YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. A scenario of forming a new regiment was displayed in Tavush Province within the framework of “Shant-2015” military exercises. During the demonstrative event hundreds of recruits received their military uniforms and instructions from the Commander of the Army Corps, Colonel Mihran Makhsudyan. “Your high-level discipline is the guarantee of our security. Please, observe discipline and respect each other. Let everyone see that we can bring the country to high readiness within three days and get ready to war”, the Colonel addressed to the recruits, mentioning that every unit will have its barrack, canteen and all necessary conditions for army service.

In an interview with journalists Colonel Makhsudyan mentioned that according to the scenario, the operative military exercises of mobilization will last 5 days. “The personnel is in high psychological condition, realizes the tasks put forward and is ready to fulfill them. No one tried to escape from the mobilization”, he emphasized.

Vardan Sargsyan received the draft notice in the evening of September 4 demanding to arrive at the commissariat immediately. “The Armenian nation must support one another. If everyone avoids service, who will do it?” he said. “We are ready to go even to the front line”, said another recruit.

On September 3 “Shant 2015” Military Command and Staff Exercises started in Armenia.

The nationwide event “Shant 2015” Exercises are aimed at raising the level of state’s immediate preparation for defense, military and state bodies mobilization preparedness in repulsing the act of aggression, rechecking the ability of bringing to high degree of readiness and raising the level of harmony in cooperation and actions.

Taking into account the military and political situation around Armenia, the scenario of the Exercises includes а fictitious rival and the situation is maximally adapted to reality.
