YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. The scenario of refugee reception and discussion of their problems regulations was played in Nubarashen in the framework of “Shant 2015” planned Military Command and Staff Exercises. According to it, fictitious refugees arriving from different countries were received in appropriate legal departments, the refugees received medical assistance, legal assistance and all that is expected in terms of humanitarian aid.

Petros Aghababyan, Head of Refugees Department of Migration State Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, told “Armenpress” journalists that all that has been carried out is in accordance with Armenia legislation and international contracts. Kate Pochapsky, head of the legal section of UNHCR said that the events were assessed positively. They will continue their work with Armenia as it is very important to have appropriate information and knowledge related to refugees.

“Armenpress” reports that the tent camp was visited by Republic of Armenia Government Chief of Staff Davit Harutyunyan, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Gabriel Ghazaryan, Republic of Armenia Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan, head of the State Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Yeganyan. The officials familiarized themselves with the conditions of the tent camps, talked with fictitious refugees after which according to the plan they will present a report to the President of Armenia.

On September 3 “Shant 2015” Military Command and Staff Exercises started in Armenia.

The nationwide event “Shant 2015” Exercises are aimed at raising the level of state’s immediate preparation for defense, military and state bodies mobilization preparedness in repulsing the act of aggression, rechecking the ability of bringing to high degree of readiness and raising the level of harmony in cooperation and actions.

Taking into account the military and political situation surrounding Armenia, the scenario of the Exercises includes а fictious rival and the situation is maximally adapted to reality.
