YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Armenia President Serzh Sargsyan convened conventional Government session on September 4 in the framework of “Shant 2015” Military Command and Staff Exercises. The Ministers presented the progress of realization of the scenario-driven assignments of the exercises in their respective fields of coordination, reported problems emerging in certain situations and introduced suggestions directed at implementing more efficient ways of their solution and management.

“Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Office to the President of the Republic of Armenia that at the beginning of the session President Sargsyan commented on the importance of the exercises emphasizing that each exercise attempts to solve 2 important problems: training and testing. The ultimate aim is to be ready to implement effective means in case of real life situations to eliminate any threat to security and territorial integrity of the country. President Sargsyan also talked about the necessity of summing up the results and compiling documents after the measures. The latter will help to assess activities of corresponding units and heads participating in the exercises, plans of elimination of shortages will be compiled the implementation of which will become the preparation stage of next exercises.
