“Shant 2015” Exercises are in progress: Factitious curfew to be announced in Avan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. A scenario according to which some functions of information and public relations management have already been submitted to the Armed Forces of Armenia has been played in the framework of “Shant 2015” planned Military Command and Staff Exercises. “Armenpress” reports that the information was presented by Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan during his meeting with journalists in the administrative complex of the Armenia Ministry of Defense. “According to the scenario played in the framework of the exercises the valuable samples had already been evacuated from the Matenadaran and the National Gallery of Armenia and were in safe places and 100 beds were installed in Yerevan Erebouni medical center and 50 beds in Artashat hospital to treat the factitious injured.”, said Artsrun Hovhannisyan.

In the evening the Republic Square will be the center of the events. A line-up of about 30 buses will be formed to organize factitious evacuation of the population. In administrative district Avan curfew will be played from 2p.m. till 7 a.m.

On September 3 “Shant 2015” Military Command and Staff Exercises started in Armenia.

The nationwide event “Shant 2015” Exercises are aimed at raising the level of state’s immediate preparation for defense, military and state bodies mobilization preparedness in repulsing the act of aggression, rechecking the ability of bringing to high degree of readiness and raising the level of harmony in cooperation and actions.

Taking into account the military and political situation surrounding Armenia, the scenario of the Exercises includes а fictious rival and the situation is maximally adapted to reality.
