YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Moscow Theatre after Sergey Parajanov will have a tour dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The theater with a 20 year history will have 2 performances in Yerevan with support of Ministries of Culture and Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia.  

Тhe founder and art director of Parajanov Moscow Art Theater Vladimir Gabbe said that “Armeniada” will be presented in Armenian for the first time.

“The performance was shown in Moscow in April. It will be performed in the Theatre after Stanislavski on September 22. The theatre will visit Armenia not for the first time. It is the second visit. We were here in 2009 for the 1st time on the jubilee of Sergey Parajanov.”, noted the art director of Parajanov Moscow Art Theater.

The art director of Parajanov Moscow Art Theater said that they stage 3-5 performance yearly. “There are 5 Armenian actors that have worked at the theater since the day of its foundation.” We often come to Europe on tours and will perform in France soon. The representatives of French-Armenian community prepare “Armeniada” tours till the end of the year in the framework of the memory days of the Armenian Genocide.
