YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. The Azerbaijani side resumes shooting in the direction of Tavush Province. The fire is directed along the entire front line of Tavush Province.  Press secretary of Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, informed about this in an interview with “Armenpress”. To the question when shooting started and what kind of weapons are used, Hovhannisyan mentioned that details are being clarified and the Defense Ministry will issue a statement referring the developments on the border.

The situation on Armenia-Azerbaijan border has been tense for several days but the Defense Ministry assures that there are no precise signs for launching large scale military operations. On September 2 the enemy kept bordering villages under fire for hours using weapons of different calibers and snipers. Two civilians were injured  and one contract soldier, Hayk Tevoyan, was killed.
