Life of Koti villagers injured in Azerbaijani shooting is not under threat

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. The health condition of Koti village, Tavush Province two residents who were injured in the night of September 2, due to the shootings of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, is currently satisfactory. After sustaining injuries they were transferred to Noyemberyan Medical Center. Head of Koti village Felix Melikyan told “Armenpress” that the two villagers had sustained shrapnel wounds. “The shrapnels were removed and according to the doctors the patients are in satisfactory health condition. Fortunately their life is not under threat. ”, said the village head, adding that currently the situation in the village is calm, the rival has stopped firing.

The rival has been keeping bordering villages of Tavush Province under fire since August 31.  The rival kept bordering villages of Tavush Province under fire for several hours September 2. In an interview with “Armenpress” the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan mentioned that the fire was directed at several villages simultaneously. He assessed the situation as “tense”, adding that the shooting is rather heavy.
