“No robbery” initiative attempted to block Baghramyan-Proshyan crossroad

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. The demonstrators of “No robbery” initiative attempted to block Baghramyan-Proshyan crossroad after the public discussion held in the Lovers' Park of Yerevan, but the police prevented their initiative.

“Armenpress” reports that the public discussion held in the Lover’s park was aimed to coordinate the future methods of the struggle. Before the discussion would start in an interview with journalists Maksim Hakobyan, member of the initiative, mentioned that their demand have remained unchanged.  He reiterated that they demand to cancel the decision of increasing electricity tariff, revise the previous tariff and to punish the policemen who used force against the demonstrators on June 23. Maksim Hakobyan did not want to reveal the strategies for their struggle and which are their next steps. “We must discuss that issue also with those people who accepted our offer to participate in our discussions. After the discussion we will clarify our future plans”, “Armenpress” reports, Hakobyan mentioned.

Maksim Hakobyan did not exclude the option of unifying with “Wake up, Armenia” initiative. “We never excluded that our paths can intersect at some point. We are citizens struggling for the future of Armenia like them, so I do not want to exclude anything”, he emphasized.
