Only JDP and HDP to represent interim government in Turkey

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. A 45 day term established for the creation of a new government in Turkey terminates On August 25. Before that either coalition government must be created or Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan must decide to head toward an election.

Armenpress reports, referring to Turkish media, that the efforts of Ahmet Davutoğlu to form a coalition government on July 7 had failed.

The Republican People's Party and the Nationalist Movement Party occupying 132 and 80 seats in the parliament respectively, “boycotted” Ahmet Davutoğlu’s suggestion of creating an interim government.

However, Peoples' Democratic Party, occupying 80 parliamentary seats with which JDP did want to form a coalition, did not reject ministerial portfolios. It is expected that 3 ministerial portfolios will be offered to Peoples' Democratic Party in the interim government created before the early elections on October 18 or November 22

According to claims, in the interim government headed by Ahmet Davutoğlu JDP will occupy 12 and CHP 3 ministries and the remaining 12 will be handed to independent members of the parliament.
