YEREVAN, AUGUST 4, ARMENPRESS. Glendale City Council members Paula Devine and Vartan Gharpetian that had arrived in Yerevan on the occasion of the 6th Pan-Armenian Summer games met with Sergey Mkrtchyan, head of RPA faction of Yerevan Council of the Elders, and Naira Nahapetyan,  the President of City Council Financial Committee of the Republican Party. As Armenpress was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of Yerevan Municipality, Sergey Mkrtchyan greeted Glendale delegates and with Naira Nahapetyan briefly presented the model of Yerevan governance, its priorities and programs. The structure and activities of Yerevan Council of the Elders were also introduced. Thanking for the warm reception Glendale City Council member Vartan Gharpetian introduced the model of Glendale governance, stating that Glendale City Council is composed of 5 members from which the Mayor is elected.  

Naira Nahapetyan thanked for the attention paid to the Armenian community in Glendale and the projects realized for them.  The sides expressed readiness to deepen the cooperation between Yerevan and Glendale in a number of spheres.
