Terrorists attack military hospital in Turkey
YEREVAN, AUGUST 3, ARMENPRESS. A group of militants opened fire late Aug. 2 on a military hospital in the eastern province of Bitlis, but no casualties were reported. Armenpress reports, citing the Hurriyet Daily News that the Bitlis Governor’s Office said in a statement that the militants opened fire with long-barreled guns on the hospital in the Tatvan district from the roof of a work center.The governor’s office said only the hospital’s guard tower sustained material damage.
The militants fled the scene in a black car, the statement read.
In a separate attempt early Aug. 3, militants exploded a mine laid on the Bitlis-Diyarbakir motorway as two military vehicles were passing by. No casualties were reported in the attack.
