Abrahamyan and Jahangiri agree to start construction of Iran-Armenia high-voltage line

YEREVAN, AUGUST 1, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan had a telephone conversation with the first vice-president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri.  As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Government Staff of the Republic of Armenia, the interlocutors discussed a number of issues on the agenda of Iran-Armenia relations. They referred to joint projects and programs aimed to develop trade relations. In that context, the activation of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental committee was highlighted.

An agreement was reached to start the construction of the Iran-Armenia 3rd high-voltage line. During the conversation the first vice-president of the IRI Eshaq Jahangiri reaffirmed that he will pay an official visit to Armenia at the end of this year.

PM Abrahamyan and Eshaq Jahangiri also referred to other issues concerning regional developments.
