MOSCOW, AUGUST 1, ARMENPRESS. World military games, where Armenian Armed Forces participate as well, is launched at the Moscow Alabino firing ground. As “Armenpress” reports, citing “Interfax”, the RF Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu was present at the opening ceremony of the games. “I am happy that people, with arms in hands on a military vehicle, meet as friends here, on the hospitable Russian soil.  After the competition they will shake each other’s hands with a smile and will be happy with the achievements of their competitors. I am sure that this is the best method to strengthen mutual trust between the armed forces of our countries”, Shoygu stressed.

Delegations from 17 countries with total participants of nearly 2000 take part in the games. The participants will compete in 14 field, aerial and marine competitions until August 15.

The Armenian team took the 3rd place in the test competition of the tank biathlon “World military games-2015”, which took place on June 28.  The first and the second places took the Russian and Chinese teams, teams of Armenia and Nicaragua came next.

The Armenian tank team had taken the second place during the previous official competition.
