Armenia to present its IT sector in 23 European cities in autumn

YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS. The regular session of the Council supporting the development of the IT sector took place at the Government headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Government Staff of the Republic of Armenia, the first issue on the agenda presented to the Council was the project headlined “Orbit of Armenia’s international recognition: European race of IT companies”, where representatives of nearly 60 Armenian companies will take part. In the framework of the project the Armenian delegation will visit 23 European cities, including Brussels, Berlin, Marseille, Warsaw, Prague, Sofia and will hold meetings with representatives of more than 100 companies and state officials. It was reported that the aim of the project is to introduce the prospects and innovative capabilities of the Armenian IT sector to European countries, explore new markets for possible cooperation and practically to get acquainted with the European development experience of this sector.

It is expected that the project will be launched in the autumn of the current year and will last 45 days. PM Abrahamyan welcomed the initiative and highlighted the successful implementation of the project.
