Snake bite cases drop in 2015

YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS: The cases of snake bites have reduced in 2015, in comparison with the last year. The chief toxicologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia Mikayel Gabrielyan told about it during the meeting with the journalists on July 29, touching upon the cases of bites by the snakes and scorpions, as well as gave advises to avoid of complications.

Representing the statistics, the chief toxicologist said that in 2015 48 cases of poisoning from snake bite were recorded, in comparison with the 63 cases in the same period of 2014.

Armenpress reports that Mikayel Gabrielyan stated though that if in 2014 there was not any death case registered, in 2015 one person died from the snake bite.
