YEREVAN, JULY 27, ARMENPRESS: On July 27 the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan received Stepan Sukhorenko, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia, who visited the parliament on the completion of his diplomatic mission.

The press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that Galust Sahakyan highly assessed Mr. Sukhorenko’s activities, noting that during his tenure the Armenian-Belarusian relations had been of direct nature, friendly and warm relations had been formed between the parliaments of the two countries. Galust Sahakyan also noted that the cooperation of the parliaments of the two countries should be strengthened at international platforms.

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia wished Stepan Sukhorenko success during his further activities and expressed hope that he would always remain the Armenian people’s friend.

Stepan Sukhorenko thanked the President of the National Assembly for constantly supporting him during his diplomatic mission. The Ambassador has stated that the cooperation of the parliaments of the two countries is anchored on the Belarusian and Armenian peoples’ long lasting friendship. Stepan Sukhorenko highlighted the work of the Friendship Groups functioning in the parliaments of Belarus and Armenia. He expressed hope that the membership of Belarus and Armenia to the EEU would give new impetus to the cooperation in different spheres.
