Economist considers Armenia’s state debt as non-risky and manageable

YEREVAN, JULY 16, ARMENPRESS: The state debt of the Republic of Armenia is not risky and is manageable. The economist Ashot Tavadyan stated about it during the meeting with the journalists on July 16. “The most important thing for us should be the fact that the taken loans are purposeful and the expected result is visible and the structure of the loans is effective”, - said Tavadyan, Armenpress reports.  
By this moment the state debt of the Republic of Armenia makes 4,6 billion US dollars, 600 million of which is the domestic debt, 3,5 billion is the debt of the Government and 450 million is the debt of the Central Bank of Armenia.
Tavadyan said that according to the law, the state debt of Armenia cannot exceed 60% of the GDP.
