No restrictions for development of high-level relations between Armenia and Iran. Serzh Sargsyan
YEREVAN, JULY 11, ARMENPRESS. The president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Jannati on July 11 who heads the delegation participating in the UNESCO international conference headlined “Cultural policies, politics for culture”.
As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Presidential Staff of the Republic of Armenia, stressing the Armenian and Iranian friendly nations have granted the world a rich cultural heritage during their century-long histories and the two nations have numerous similarities, the President emphasized that, undoubtedly, culture has a significant role among that similarities.
The interlocutors stressed with mutual satisfaction that the bilateral ties formed around culture pave the way for developing and strengthening Armenian-Iranian relations in political and economic spheres.
The President of the Republic of Armenia and the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance agreed that there are no restrictions for development of high-level relations between Armenia and Iran and frequent visits are important to strengthen the bilateral ties. “Difficulties are temporary but our friendship is eternal. It is necessary to take all steps to strengthen and extent Armenian-Iranian relations which have great potential for the benefit of the two nations and cultures. We enrich one another interacting with the world in our rich cultural language”, said Serzh Sargsyan.
The President expressed with satisfaction that new positive manifestations of cooperation in the framework of preservation of cultural heritage is achieved. He expressed gratitude for the works done to preserve Armenian historical heritage in the territory of Iran and for precaution towards that heritage, assuring that the same attitude exists in Armenia towards Iranian historical heritage.
