YEREVAN, JULY 6, ARMENPRESS. According to Armen Apikyan – first pilot of the years of independence and commander of the staff of the military air forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia – aviation has had serious accomplishments during the 23 years of its formation. “Aviation developed in very hard circumstances and if we make a comparison, the conditions and quality of the military aviation institute are good and the level of the new generation is significantly different,” as Armenpress reports, Apikyan said during a meeting with journalists on July 6. He added that 2 decades ago there were no proper equipments and there was a need for human recourses. “Today we have much better equipments than 23 years ago and are able to solve any issue,” Apikyan said. Speaking about human resources, Apikyan said that the number of applicants is increasing year by year.

Major of the military air forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia – Gor Ghazaryan – said that the main reason that the young prefer the field of military air forces is patriotism. He highlights that the Armenian air forces are on a higher level as regards their military spirit and will. “As long as Armenian children are baptized in Dadivank, Amaras and Gandzasar, we will be the owners of our country,” Ghazaryan stressed adding that the equipments are available in such quantity and quality that they will be able to give an adequate response to the rival.
