Unprecedented uncertainty over EU if creditors’ proposals rejected in Greek referendum: Hollande

Unprecedented uncertainty over EU if creditors’ proposals rejected in Greek
referendum: Hollande

YEREVAN, JULY 2, ARMENPRESS. An unprecedented uncertainty will be created in the EU, should the Greek voters turn down the creditors’ proposals, President François Hollande was quoted as saying by Agence France Presse.
“An unprecedented uncertainty will be created in the EU, should the Greek voters turn down the proposals of international creditors,” Hollande told.
“But if the voters say Yes in the referendum, negotiations will resume easily”, Hollande added.
The French president regretted that Prime Minister Tsipras had repeated his call for his fellow countrymen to turn down the creditors’ proposals, adding that “a compromise was possible the day before.”
The French President held a phone conversation with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel on July 2 to discuss the Greek crisis, sources close to the French President told. It is unknown what exactly was discussed by the two leaders, TASS reports.
