YEREVAN, 29 MAY, ARMENPRESS. On May 29, President Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit for Vayots Dzor Province. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the President attended the opening ceremony of Ecofarm Ltd. based in the Gndevaz village. The complex mainly produces milk, and the heifers of cows imported from Germany are mainly bred at the complex.

 The newly opened complex is designed in compliance with international food safety standards and corresponds to European standards of quality and management in terms of technical armament.

 In the city of Jermuk President Serzh Sargsyan visited the construction site for the construction of Jermuk Group’s new factory and was introduced to the construction work and the company’s development programs. The company’s representatives said Jermuk Group’s products are in high demand in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and especially in the Russian Federation following Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.

 Afterwards, the head of state headed towards the newly built Hyatt Place Hotel in Jermuk and was present at the grand opening of the hotel. The main goal of the development program for Jermuk, drafted within the framework of Decision N 1064-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 18 September 2008 “On Declaring the City of Jermuk as a Center for Tourism”, is to turn Jermuk into a year-round center for a healthy and active lifestyle and tourism in compliance with international requirements.

Construction of the hotel complex began in late 2009 and ended in May 2015. It consists of a central building and two more buildings (north and south). The complex includes a rest and entertainment zone, a SPA center and hydrotherapy center with medicinal bathtubs filled with the mineral water of Jermuk, a gym, a swimming pool and a sauna, as well as children’s room, a business center, a restaurant and conference halls. The Hyatt Place Hotel of Jermuk is the third hotel opened in Europe.
