Minister doesn’t expect rise in price for energy

YEREVAN, MAY 28, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Yervand Zakharyan does not think that the tariff for the electricity will rise by 17 drams in Armenia. Yervand Zakharyan told the journalists in Sardarapat that the rise in price for electricity concerns everybody, adding that he understands the demonstrators, protesting against it.
“The Public Services Regulatory Commission is now reviewing the electricity tariff increase application and the studies will be completed in a week. I do not think that the price will rise by 17 drams, and the other questions will be answered by the Commission”, - stated the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia.
Yervand Zakharyan told once more that the rise in price is not desired by anybody and that this issue is of concern for all.
