YEREVAN, 27 MAY, ARMENPRESS. On May 27, President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Cyprus Kristoforos Fokaides, who is on an official visit to Armenia.

 As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, Serzh Sargsyan greeted the guest and attached importance to the high-ranking reciprocal visits from the perspective of the strengthening of interstate relations. The President emphasized that the Armenian people praise the fact that Cyprus was represented at the level of the President and the parliamentary speaker at the ceremony commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide on April 24^th. Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia would always recall and remember that.

 The President of the Republic of Armenia and the Cypriot Minister of Defense attached great importance to the maintenance of the current dynamics of the interstate relations which, according to them, provides the opportunity to always be aware of and find adequate solutions to issues that are of primary significance for both sides.

 During the meeting, the sides also touched upon the military partnership and future deepening of that partnership on strong foundations and in an atmosphere of mutual confidence between Armenia and Cyprus.
