Declaration adopted based on the results of summit in Riga

YEREVAN, 22 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The Eastern Partnership summit in Riga gave a new impetus to the advanced and strategically important relations between the EU and the partnering countries, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. This has also been enshrined in the declaration adopted on the basis of the results of the summit. As “Armenpress” reports, this is what Prime Minister of Latvia Laimdota Straujuma said during a press conference wrapping up the summit.

“The summit in Riga should be viewed as a very important event on the political map of Latvia and Europe. The discussions held at the summit today will help determine the directions for the development of the Eastern Partnership,” Straujuma mentioned. The Prime Minister of Latvia expressed certainty that the declaration adopted on the basis of the results of the summit in Riga reaffirms the conviction that the existing strategic relations between the countries serve as bridges that are built by the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries.
