Venice Commission approved first three chapters of Armenia's Constitutional Reforms draft

YEREVAN, 22 MAY, ARMENPRESS. As a result of the comprehensive work, three chapters of the Constitutional Reforms draft have been developed and officially submitted to the Venice Commission for the discussion by the expert group.

During the plenary session, the Venice Commission approved the proposed sections. As “Armenpress” reports, the Constitutional Court Chairman Gagik Harutyunyan stated this at the course of the press conference held on May 22, emphasizing that the main issue of the constitutional reform is the formation of anthropocentric constitution, as well as the rule of law, the guarantee of the human rights and fundamental freedoms.

“The solution of those problems is mainly conditioned by the regulation of the new draft chapters. An extremely important task was raised – to clarify the procedures and mechanisms of the judicial protection and define the limits on all the problems," Harutyunyan highlighted.
