RIGA, 21 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The summit of the European People’s Party kicked off in Riga with the participation of President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Latvia. As “Armenpress” reports, citing the EPP’s official Twitter page, Serzh Sargsyan has already arrived at Riga Bourse Art Museum, which is the venue for the summit. Leader of the “Country of Law” Party Artur Baghdasaryan is also attending the summit.

The meeting of the leaders is moderated by President of the European People’s Party Joseph Daul. Among other participants of the summit are German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, EU Commissioner for the European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and EU Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister of Moldova Kirill Gaburici, former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and others.

In Riga the President of the Republic of Armenia will also participate in the Eastern Partnership summit.
