YEREVAN, 21 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The delegation led by Head of the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov participated in the sessions of the military committee of the North-Atlantic Treaty Organization held with the participation of partnering states at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels on May 20. The sessions were held in the format of heads of general headquarters of armed forces of states involved in the NATO “Decisive Support” and Kosovo Forces operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo, as well as the NATO Interoperability Platform.

As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, discussions were held on security in Afghanistan and Kosovo, the process of operations of the coalitional forces and the perspectives of the establishment of enduring peace during the sessions. The heads of general headquarters exchanged views on the idea of implementing the NATO Interoperability Platform initiative between NATO and partnering states in order to raise the level of efficiency of the joint drills for international peace and stability.
