The US observers, who followed the parliamentary elections in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, are impressed by the professionalism of the entire electoral process and the engagement of voters. “NKR parliamentary elections were held in accordance with international standards and passed under transparent, free, competitive and fair conditions. We view NKR elections as an example of democracy,” - as Armenpress reports, the Director of Election Management Research Center of US California Berkeley University Karin Mac Donald made such an assessment during the meeting with the journalists held on May 6.
The officer of California Santa Cruz district administration Gail L. Pellerin was impressed by the participation and involvement of the voters. The American employee assured that when she returns to California, she will ask the Board of Governors of Santa Cruz to support the continuous assistance of Nagorno Karabakh aimed at the development of the independent and free country. “What I saw was very well organized and prepared. The voters were informed and involved,” - she said.
