Artsakh PM says upcoming elections will be one step forward on the road towards the 
development of democracy

STEPANAKERT, 2 MAY, ARMENPRESS. On May 2, Prime Minister of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan received a group of international observers who are in Artsakh to observe the parliamentary elections. As the news service of the Government of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reports to “Armenpress”, the Prime Minister attached importance to the role of observatory missions from different countries in presenting the successes of democracy in Artsakh to the world and in exchanging experiences. The head of government expressed certainty that the upcoming elections would be one step forward on the road towards the development of democracy.

Arayik Harutyunyan briefly touched upon the preparations for the elections and viewed the pre-election campaign as a campaign that was in line with the requirements of the law. The observers asked about the organizational activities, the peculiarities of Artsakh’s electoral system and the level of participation of voters.
