Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to a baby girl
YEREVAN, 2 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington this morning.
Kensington Palace said: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour.
"The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."
Before news of the imminent arrival of the baby itself, minor dramas outside the Lindo Wing included two giant teddy bears being delivered and interest in some rather unusual paintings featuring the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge.
The Duchess, who was a week overdue, is being looked after by consultant obstetrician Guy Thorpe-Beeston, who is the surgeon-gynecologist to the household. He will be joined in the delivery room by Alan Farthing, the Queen's surgeon-gynecologist.
