Deputy Speaker of Armenia’s Parliament considers PACE statement condemning Armenian
Genocide unprecedented

YEREVAN, 27 YEREVAN, ARMENPRESS. The Vice-President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the Head of the Armenian delegation of PACE Hermine Naghdalyan considers the statement of the PACE unprecedented, which was adopted by the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Hermine Naghdalyan during a talk with the journalists in the National Assembly noted, that the member states of the Council of Europe have joined that statement, for whom the struggle against the genocides denial always have been a priority, as well as other countries, which have not been active in the struggle against the denial. "Of course, it is gratifying that the geography of the countries, which struggle against the denial of Genocide, is expanding. 170 delegates from 40 countries have signed under the statement adopted on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. This hints about the fact that the struggle against the policy of denial of the genocides has become priority in the foreign policy agenda of 40 member states of the EU,” as “Armenpress” reports, Naghdalyan noted.
