Turkey slams Putin for statements made in Yerevan

ANKARA, 24 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The official Ankara has criticized President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for his bold and straight statements, recognizing the Armenian Genocide, that he made during the events commemorating the Armenian Genocide, as “Armenpress” reports, according to Gazeta.ru. “Taking into account the mass killings and the exile…which Russia carried out in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe in the past century…we find that he (Russia-ed.), like nobody else, should have a good understanding of genocide and its legal boundaries,” as stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

Gazeta.ru reminds that President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin participated in the events for the commemoration of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan.
