Call for freedom to Western Armenia…People are commemorating the Armenian Genocide
Centennial individually

YEREVAN, 24 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. People are commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial individually. Despite the rainy weather, people continue to march to the memorial complex. Joining the Armenians was Len Vix, who is from Australia and New Zealand. He was holding a sign that read as follows: “On behalf of Australian and New Zealand people, I apologize to the Armenian people for my leaders not having the courage to recognize the Armenian Genocide. I am here to tell you we care, despite the shame of our politics.”

As “Armenpress” reports, Len Vix has written a book devoted to Armenia and wishes to produce a film based on the book. By the way, Len Vix’s wife is Armenian.

Representative of the Armenian community of Boston Gyulnar Sahakyan and her family and friends have come to Armenia to participate in the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. They have brought with them a poster calling for “Freedom to Western Armenia”, which they hold during the events in Boston as well. Gyulnar Sahakyan’s maternal and paternal grandparents felt the brutality of the Armenian Genocide on their own skin.
