YEREVAN, 24 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan has sent a message on the Remembrance Day of the Armenian Genocide victims. The Press and Public Relations Department of Government of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress”, that the statement of the Prime Minister says:

"Dear compatriots,

Today is the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In the years of World War I, the Ottoman Turkish authorities planned and carried out a monstrous crime. On those days, the Armenians worldwide and civilized mankind remember and condemn the first genocide of the 20th century. We commemorate our 1.5 million innocent victims and recall their torture way and bow down in front of their eternal memory. In all corners of the world, under "I Remember and Demand" motto, commemorative events are held dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Year by year the number of countries that recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide increases, which speaks about the responsibility of humanity before the generations.

Paying tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide innocent victims, as Genocide survivor and reborn people, we must come together, to move forward together, develop and strengthen our homeland". (Full version of Prime Minister’s message is available in Armenian)
