Presentation of book “The Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh: History, Culture, Traditions” in Moscow
YEREVAN, 1 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. On March 30, Doctor of Historical Sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, senior scientific worker of the Institute of Ethnography and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alla Ter-Sargsyan presented her monograph entitled “The Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh: History, Culture, Traditions” at the Home of Journalists in Moscow.
As the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the monograph is an academic, historical and cultural study on the history of Artsakh, starting from ancient times and leading up to our days. The book especially focuses on the period between 1918 and 1921, the period when the conflict between Azerbaijan and Karabakh began. The author also observes the stages of the peaceful regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The monograph includes details of the culture, holidays, rituals and traditions of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. The book was presented by advisor of the Permanent Representation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the Russian Federation Ruben Zargaryan.
