Armenian pupils participate in "honor guard" duty at Tsitsernakaberd Memorial

YEREVAN, 1 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. By April 24 the Armenian pupils, as guards of honor, will commemorate the Armenian Genocide victims at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial. Within the framework of the events of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, on April 1, the "honor guard" pupillary duty was launched at the eternal fire of the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial. The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan. The Minister described the event as an unprecedented action.
"The students of Armenia will stand guard of honor at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial. This initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia has been approved by the State Commission Coordinating the Genocide Centennial Events. On April 1-23, every day at 10:00-18:00, the students from different schools will commemorate the Armenian Genocide victims by shift. This eruption and desire was normal. It didn’t require a promotional work, as the idea was immediately accepted by all schools. The majority of parents welcomed this ceremony", - Armen Ashotyan noted, Armenpress reports.
