Karine Minasyan says Astana meeting should not be confused with EEU
official meeting

YEREVAN, 30 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The meeting of the leaders of the three member states of the Eurasian Economic Union was not an official meeting, and that meeting and an official meeting should not be confused with one another. This is what member of the advisory board of the Eurasian Economic Union, representative of the Armenian side Karine Minasyan said during a press conference, in response to the question as to why Armenia didn’t participate in the March 20 meeting of the leaders of the three member states of the Eurasian Economic Union in Astana.

“We must not confuse the meetings held in different formats. When we talk about the official meetings and decision-making processes of the Eurasian Economic Union, those decisions are made by consensus. When the leaders of three countries follow the former format of the Union, meet and discuss issues concerning their respective countries, that is up to them to decide,” Minasyan clarified, as “Armenpress” reports.
