YEREVAN, 27 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. Football players of the former USSR’s football team say they are very happy to be in Armenia to participate in the match dedicated to the 60^th birthday anniversary of legendary Armenian football player Khoren Hovhannisyan.

“Khoren is a wonderful football player, an exceptional person and a good partner in sports. He sets an example for young football players. We must not forget players like Khoren. I promise that we will turn the football match into a real celebration for Khoren and all the fans,”legendary football player Valery Gazayev mentioned during a press conference.

One of the legends of football in the former USSR, Evgeny Lovchev said he admired the fact that the organizers had formed a wonderful team.

Another famous football player of the former USSR Igor Belanov also expressed kind words and his admiration. “I truly respect Khoren, and that’s why I’m here. He has wonderful vision and was a good attacker,”Belanov recalled.

Khoren Hovhannisyan joined the players at the end and expressed his deep gratitude to them for their presence.
