YEREVAN, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS: Within the framework of the Belgian presidency in the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, on March 26-27 high-ranking conference “Implementation of the European Convention is our common responsibility” took place in Brussels. The press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia told Armenpress that the event was attended by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the Presidents of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and European Court of Human Rights, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights and the First Vice President of the European Commission, along with the high-ranking delegations, arrived from 47 EC member countries.

At the conference Armenia was represented by the Deputy Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Deputy Representative of the Armenia’s Government at the ECHR Arman Tatoyan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Karen Nazaryan and the Permanent Representative of Armenia in the European Council Armen Papikyan.

In its speech the Armenian delegation reconfirmed Armenia’s support in the efforts of the strengthening of the convention system. The representatives of Armenia presented the work, carried out by Armenia, in the realization of the convention guarantees and implementation of ECHR judgments and the results, achieved during the last years.
