YEREVAN, MARCH 26, ARMENPRESS: On 26 March the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan convoked a meeting of the Security Council. Issues related to the commemoration events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and preparatory activities of the 2015 spring sowing were on the agenda of the meeting.

The press service of the Arstakh President’s Office informed Armenpress that the minister of municipal engineering Karen Shahramanyan, mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan, minister of education and science Slava Asryan, deputy minister of culture and youth affairs Gayane Grigoryan and head of the tourism and historical environment protection department under the Cabinet of Ministers Sergey Shahverdyan delivered corresponding reports on the issues concerning the 100th anniversary events of the Armenian Genocide.

The Head of the State underlined that events dedicated to the commemoration of the Genocide's 100th anniversary should be held on a high level in Artsakh, not be restricted only by the capital and regional centers and should be widely covered by the mass media. Bako Sahakyan gave a number of instructions for proper realization of the activities.

Minister of agriculture Andranik Khachatryan delivered a report on the preparatory activities of the 2015 spring sowing.

President Sahakyan noted that everything possible should be done for securing normal course of the necessary activities, giving corresponding instructions within this context.
