Exhibition dedicated to Armenian Genocide Centennial opens in Gdansk

YEREVAN, 25 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. On 20 March, a requiem service was held in the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims by the primate of Armenian Catholic Church of Northern Diocese Cezary Anusevichi at the Armenian cross-stone, which is located in St. Paul Peter Catholic Church of Gdansk, Poland. The church is located in the city’s Armenian side-street. After the ceremony, candle lighting and wreath-laying ceremonies were launched. The Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the Polish Ambassador to Armenia Edgar Ghazaryan, public figures, diplomats, and representatives of cities’ authorities of Gdansk and Armenian community attend the event.

Ambassador Ghazaryan accompanied by the primate of the Northern Diocese of Armenian Catholic Church toured the St. Paul Peter Catholic Church, got acquainted with the church renovation project and put a note in the guest registry book.

On the same day, a series of exhibitions of paintings titled "Under Waterfall” dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide was launched at the Gdansk History Museum, authored by renowned Armenian artist Gagik Parsamyan, who lives in Poland. The exhibition was held under the auspices of  the Armenian embassy in Poland and Municipality of Gdansk.
