YEREVAN, MARCH 10, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today received famous French-Armenian race driver Nicolas Minassian, prize winner of multiple races. The Armenian President welcomed the guest and noted that in Armenia they are always proud of any of our compatriot who has achieved international success. Serzh Sargsyan attached importance to the fact that Mr. Minassian has not only kept ties to his homeland, but also has visited Armenia, being ready to be of help to our state and people.

The Mass Media and Public Relations Department of the President’s Office informed “Armenpress” that Nicolas Minassian noted that he was glad to visit his homeland and to launch cooperation with the Automobile Federation of Armenia. He introduced the President to his projects, underscoring that throughout his 20 years’ racing career he has dreamed of founding a racing-school in Armenia, training young men and of setting up a good team of race drivers who will compete under the Armenian flag. According to Nicolas Minassian, that sport will serve a charitable purpose, helping needy people in Armenia.

Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the famous race driver’s projects and expressed readiness to support, when needed, their implementation and the development of that sport in Armenia.
