YEREVAN, 5 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. Newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta has announced that the United States treats the issue on regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict seriously and is making every effort for the regulation of the conflict. As “Armenpress” reports, citing APA, this is what Cekuta said during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Head of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov.

 “We are concerned about the recent escalation of tension at the Line of Contact. The parties must avoid taking steps that could lead to further escalation. In our turn, working with Armenia and Azerbaijan, we are trying to achieve progress in the regulation of the conflict,” Cekuta announced.
