YEREVAN, MARCH 4, ARMENPRESS. “Red Zone” festival, organized by Kirkelig Kulturverksted, in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, is underway in Oslo. This year's the festival is dedicated to Armenian Genocide.

The Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that on March 3, singers and musicians from Armenia, Norway, Turkey and Iran performed at a concert, titled “100 years of oblivion”, organized in the framework of the festival. From March 3 through March 8 “Armine, Sister” performance of Teatr Zar of Wrocław, Poland, “Images from Anatolia” photo exhibition by the Polish photographer Magdalena Mądra, showing of “Grandma’s Tattoos” movie by Swedish Armenian filmmaker Suzanne Khardalian, discussion on “Forgotten by the world, the selective memory of the West”, with participation of Director of Gomidas Institute (London) Ara Sarafian, expert at leading Norwegian analytical Centre “Sivita” Bord Larsen and journalist Sebina Skatvik – are included in the Festival Program.

Information. Revealing power of the art, “Red Zone” festival, highlights spreading the lights on the darkness of oblivion and condemn denial of crimes committed in the past through expression of freedom of speech in the art. The festival is held annually alternatively in Oslo or cities of states in the Middle East. First Festival was held in Oslo, 2013, then in Beirut and Cairo.
