Suren Krmoyan and UK Minister of Justice discuss probation reforms

YEREVAN, 27 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. On February 22-25, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Suren Krmoyan participated in the Global Law Summit in London. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia reports to "Armenpress", the event was held at the initiative of Secretary of State for Justice, Speaker for the House of Lords Chris Grayling and was marked by the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carter.

During the Summit, on February 24, Deputy Minister Suren Krmoyan had a meeting with Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice Simon Hughes. Issues related to bilateral relations, possible cooperation, the anti-corruption policy, probation reforms, the introduction of electronic technologies in the justice system and money-laundering were discussed during the private talks. The sides also touched upon the reforms in the law on discrimination, raising the level of efficiency of the judiciary, as well as issues related to the institutional and legislative reforms for judicial independence.
