SHUSHI, 20 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. At the initiative of the Standing Committees on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Affairs of the National Assemblies of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the Republic of Armenia, parliamentary hearings devoted to “Strategic Issues of Cultural Policy and Challenges for Regulation of Issues” were held in Shushi on February 20. As the press service of the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reports to “Armenpress”, among those attending the hearings were representatives of the parliaments and governments of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the Republic of Armenia, creative unions and cultural organizations, as well as cultural figures.

 Greeting the participants of the hearings, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ashot Ghulyan praised the role of joint discussions of the Standing Committees for the solution to legislative issues. Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan and Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Narine Aghabalyan delivered extensive speeches on the issues in state cultural policies and the ways of solving those issues.
