Armenia increases food and tobacco production

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS: Armenia's main branch of the processing industry, food production, is dynamically growing. During the year of 2014, food production increased by 8.4%, while only in December, compared with the same month of the last year, the growth was 23%.
Armenpress reports that food of 306 billion 46.8 million drams was produced in the Republic in 2014. In fact, this branch of the industry made 3.5% of the processing industry.
Another key sector of the processing industry is the drinks production, which has registered a slight decline.
Tobacco production, which is the next largest branch, has increased by 36.5% in one year, making 65 billion 380.4 million drams. Its share in the industry made 7.6%.
