U.S. Co-Chair of OSCE Minsk Group reflects on Azerbaijani UAV provocation
YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, ARMENPRESS. The U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick finds that the use of "drones" above or across the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact is a provocation. As reports “Armenpress”, the U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick made a note on this on Twitter. “The reported use of "drones" above or across the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact is a provocation. The sides need to reduce tensions,” James Warlick underscored.
Previously it was reported that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces again distorted the reality, reporting that they had downed an Armenian unmanned aircraft. The Spokesperson of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenpress that the statement, spread by the Azerbaijani part, according to which an Armenian UAV was downed by Azerbaijan in Aghdam region, is ridiculous. “There is no and cannot be such thing. All that is false and lie. They did not down an Armenian unmanned aircraft”, - said Artsrun Hovhannisyan, adding that he knows why they do such steps.
“It is obvious that after such losses the Azerbaijani propaganda wants to present as much achievements as possible, though the lie as well should have limits and be close to the reality. I will not be surprised if tomorrow they down an Armenian nuclear submarine in the air or, say, catch an intercontinental ballistic missiles”, - said Hovhannisyan.
